What’s a Virtual Dinner Party?

We’ve co-hosted many virtual dinner parties. Each month we partner with blogging friends around the country to create a themed menu and tablescape inspiration. Together we share ideas for table settings, centerpieces, and a full menu that includes a cocktail, appetizer, main, side, and dessert.

The virtual supper club offers a wealth of entertaining ideas so you can host with confidence. A themed menu makes it easy to plan and gives your guests a seamless, enjoyable experience.

Each dish is flavorful and straightforward. Our priority is simple recipes that taste great and, when possible, can be prepared ahead so you can relax while your guests arrive.

We’re Anne and AnnMarie, two moms who are also neighbors and friends. We both love Italian food—at least part of our background is Italian—and we enjoy sharing easy, delicious recipes for home entertaining.

Appetizer: Easy Italian Bruschetta

Bruschetta is a classic starter that’s bright, fresh, and effortless. Chopped tomatoes, garlic, basil, a splash of olive oil, and a sprinkle of salt served atop toasted crostini make a vibrant appetizer that guests love. It’s easy to prep in advance and assemble just before serving.

Cocktail: The Best Peach Bellini

A bellini blends peach and prosecco for a light, elegant cocktail. It’s fruity, bubbly, and the perfect way to welcome guests before the meal and any accompanying wine selections. You can use fresh peaches or high-quality puree for the best flavor.

Main Course: Simple One Pan Skillet Lasagna

Traditional lasagna is delicious but can be time-consuming. A one-pan skillet lasagna offers all the comforting flavors—meaty tomato sauce, tender pasta sheets, and melted cheese—with much less fuss and one pan to clean. It’s hearty, satisfying, and ideal for feeding a crowd.

Side Dish: Crispy Parmesan Garlic Brussels Sprouts

If you think you don’t like Brussels sprouts, try them roasted with garlic and Parmesan. Roasting brings out a sweet, nutty flavor and yields crispy edges that are addictive. This copycat-style side has turned skeptics into fans at our gatherings.

Dessert: Frozen Limoncello Dessert

Limoncello is a sweet Italian liqueur often enjoyed after a meal. A frozen limoncello dessert layered with toasted coconut or fresh berries makes a bright, refreshing finish to an Italian-themed dinner. It’s a delightful balance of sweet and tangy and can be prepared ahead and frozen until serving time.
