What Is a Mojito?
A mojito is a classic Cuban cocktail made with white rum, fresh mint, sugar, lime and soda water. The fresh mint pairs with the rum to create a light, invigorating drink that’s especially welcome in warm weather but can be enjoyed year-round.
Whether you live in a warm climate or simply crave a mojito in winter, the basic technique is the same: muddle to release the mint’s oils, add your spirits and citrus, then top with soda.
How to Make This Raspberry Mojito
Use a muddler (or the end of a wooden spoon) to gently crush fresh raspberries with mint in the bottom of a cocktail shaker. Add coconut rum, raspberry liqueur and a squeeze of fresh lime.
Shake thoroughly, strain into a highball glass filled with ice, and top with plain seltzer or a flavored seltzer for extra berry notes. Garnish with additional raspberries and a sprig of mint.

You can substitute blueberries or blackberries, or combine several berries for a mixed-Berry Mojito. Taste your fruit first — if the berries are very tart, add a touch of sugar or simple syrup to balance the cocktail.
